Every individual have their own skills and attributes which makes them different from others. Through identifying own skills and capabilities an individual can able to choose right path to accomplish growth in their professional career. It also required for an individual to understand other's skills and behaviour so as to maintain healthy relation with them. Thus, to survive in social world it is important for an individual to understand the behaviour which are easily acceptable by society. It is benefited to the management in order to manage all activities and functions of company within predetermined period of time. It is also essential to analysis skills and ability of the employees and many other people in an effective and systematic manner. The project includes different skills and attributes which are needed to be present in an individual in order to achieve desired goals and objectives of the business (Anderson and Braud, 2011). What is core skill?
Negotiation skills is a main skill which is essentially required to present in an individual which help them in maintaining better relation with others through negotiating them for the purpose of resolving conflicts in an effective and efficient manner. Thus, it is a process in which to parties conflicted parties meet together and consult each other in order to resolve issue through mutually consent. It is a formal discussion between more than two people with a objective of achieving common goals within limited period of time (Castro and et. al.,, 2016). Therefore such skills should required to be available in manager who manages large number of workforce in an organisation. Thus, where large number of employees are working increases the chances of conflicts which may arise due to different opinions and views. Thus, it can resolved by manager only when he have attained negotiation skill through which they can interact with involved parties and gives optimum solution which does not harm the interest of both parties. But before reaching to an effective solution, the manager should required to provide an opportunity to each party to give their specification and accordingly make an effective decision. In order to create healthy relation with employees, the manager should required to create channels of communication through which the manager and employees can able to communicate with each other and contribute combined efforts in achieving desired goals of an organisation within pre-determined period of time.
Why is this important skill necesseary? Why did I select this skills to reflect on?
It is important for an individual to have such skill which is helpful in resoling issues and conflicts between two parties without harming interest of any party (Cooley, 2017). It also helps in understanding the behaviour of others which help in maintaining good relation with them. I used this skill to resole conflicts arises between tow or more parties through providing them optimum solution. This will help in enhancing the performance of employees as well.
Reflect on your current competent regarding this skill. How did you assess your competence?
After analysing my core skills, I have observed that I am better in speaking different kind of languages through which I can communicate with employee which comes from different cultures and backgrounds. I assess such skill through communicating with conflicted parties which are having different cultures and provide them an effective solution which enhances their interest and behaviour (D'Entremont, Yazbeck and Morgan, 2017).
Can you identify any contradictions from your analysis above?
I have observed that in order to grab an opportunity, sometimes I failed to consult with workers and listen views and suggestions from others and takes decision solely which brings disinterest among them (Ehrlinger, Mitchum and Dweck, 2016). Therefore, I should work on managing and allocating time for employees in order to provide them opportunity to present their new ideas and views for the betterment of an organisation. In this I should manage all work and activity in appropriate manner that support me to maximise my performance and motivation level in an effective manner. In this I have different chances to give better opportunities to the entire workforce in order to manage all work and activity in an appropriate manner.
