Reflection Assignment Level 5 CBC College

Task

I was asked to prepare a presentation in a group in which market analysis and marketing mix for a new and improved product was done. As it has a wide scope I found it effective doing with my team members as everyone of us were good in different fields which helped us in reaching to the most appropriate results. After understating the topic, we distributed our work as per our areas of excellence and I took the work of data collection. As I am good at researching on different issues I was successful in presenting the most appropriate data. The other members of my group were creative and confident and therefore they helped in making the presentiment attractive and different. The most confident candidate was chosen to give presentation in front of others which further added value to our final work. My teacher was very cooperative and helped us in every stage. Though I was successful in delivering the final result I found few problems during the course of action. I found that as every person has their own way of doing work it is difficult to reach on common solutions as every member has to go through series of discussion (ShamayTsoory, 2011).

There were chances when I found is difficult to express my views in front of other due to the communication gap raised as a result of absenteeism which took place due to uncertain events. Apart from this I also found that when work is done in a group everyone runs towards proving themselves right and try to underestimate others. To minimize this situation, I found one solution that everyone was given equal opportunity to put their thoughts forward and then the same were discussed among all and therefore with the mutual consent decisions were taken. This way on completing the project I decided that if in case I will be asked to do the same work in future than more attention will be given to every individual so that issues are minimized and a healthy connection is developed. Encouragement will be given to group members so that absenteeism can be avoided which will further reduce the complexities of working in a group.

Conclusion

From the above discussion it is evaluated that working in a group is a complex process. It is important that equal chances are given to everyone so that no people’s sentiments got hurt. It is also found that to gain the desired results it is crucial that same level of interest is shown by every group member as this also minimize the absenteeism.
