you are being appointed as the graduate trainee for the human resource officer in the department of a human resource, in large organisation. With a view to develop an understanding of your role as an HR Officer, your manager has asked you to follow this task;
a) Find out an appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSB) that are requisite by HR professionals across the department. You must refer to Appendix A for a sum-up of HR Officer responsibilities. (P1)
b) Study a complete personal skills audit for an employee: Jane Cambridge (See Appendix B) to identify training & development necessarily considering the knowledge, skills and behaviours you identified in task (a).
c) form a professional development plan for Jane Cambridge in her HR Officer role. Tasks (b) and (c) is linked to (P2)
At the end of your training your line manager has requested you to write a report about learning and development in the organisation for driving sustainable business performance. In your report you must include the following pointers;
d) Canvas the differences between organisational & individual learning; training & development. (P3)
e) examine the need for continuous learning & professional development to drive sustainable business performance. (P4)
You are required to provide the practical examples & provide some recommendations.
