The coursework of individual needs to be balance theory and practical experience by evaluating the Unilever's New Global Strategy: Competing through Sustainability case study which is posted separately.
Assignment tasks: Evaluate the Unilever case study by using the model that is discussed in class, you can be flexible in writing your report, although the following issues should be addressed for successful report:
- Determine the USLP strategy of Unilever in relation to the business environment, problem areas and its overall strategy with framework that is studied in module (e.g. international, multinational, global and transnational).
- Analyse the effectiveness of the USLP strategy (i.e. exploitive, transactional, responsive or transformative) and it enforcement from standpoint of key stakeholders.
- Select and justify one strategic choice out of three that is suggested at the end of the case study. Explain some of the potential implementation issues.
You should focus on the key challenges in facing the challenges, employing the models and tools. It is not necessary to cover all the issues facing the company, but it is necessary to cover the chosen challenges in considerable depth.
