The organisation chosen is Virgin Group Ltd which is a technology based venture. This project is for assessing the ability of learner to undertake the research.

INTRODUCTION
Digital technology is useful in terms to revolutionized the overall activities of an enterprise. It is crucial part of an entity and main aspect of firm is to have increment in the growth of the organisation (Yang and et.al., 2017). Technological advancement is helpful tool in relation to process business activities effectively and efficiently. Thus, technological implementation is challenging yet emerging trend.
The present report is based on the activities of Virgin group Ltd. It is firm which is operating its business activities effectively and it technology focused venture. The main aim is to treating with the customer with respect and giving them good value and high quality services.
The major objectives of this report is to analysing the importance of digital technology in field as cloud computing and its impact on overall working of an enterprise.

METHODOLOGY
To conduct the research effectively it is essential to cover all methods, techniques and approaches so that business activities can be conducted in systematic mode. In this context, there are differed kinds of research methodologies which has been discussed in below context as are-
1. Research philosophies- It is process which is inclusive of belief in terms to collect and analysis of data. It is one of the effective method in terms to collect the source of knowledge. In this, research philosophies is the term which placed at the outermost layer. IN this term, it can be said that research philosophies can be classified in categories as are pragmatism, realism, positivism and interpretivism. In this, it can be said that research philosophies is helpful in order to gain factual information with the help of observation. Thus, the main role of research is to collecting and interpreting the whole data effectively. In addition to this, with the help of this, implication of technological advancement as cloud computing is helpful in order to analyse the importance of technological advancement in enterprise (Wang and et.al., 2017). In this, it can be said that interpretivism philosophies is need to be adopted in terms to interpreting the elements of study. Thus, this kind of philosophies is helpful in terms to representing the differed aspects of study.
2. Research approach- It is one of the method which is helpful in terms to carrying out the procedure of study. Thus, there are two kinds of research approach as are inductive and deductive. In addition to this, it can be said that inductive approach is useful in terms to carry out the information from general to specific (Sookhak and et.al., 2017). It can be called as top down approach. On the other hand generalised theory can refer as to move from specific observation to broad generalisation. With the help of this, generalised conclusion can be drawn effectively.
3. Research design- It is inclusive of strategy which is helpful in terms to determine the plan of action. It is need to be adopted by the researcher for logical and coherent integration and it is useful in order to determine differed components of study. Thus, it can be said that research design are of many types as are namely, exploratory, descriptive and explanatory etc. In the present study, the implication of technological advancement in terms to determine the significance of cloud computing. In order to carry out the present research, the researcher will have the use of descriptive technique (Mei, Li and Li, 2017). It can be determined with the help of three methods as are survey, case study and observation. The researcher need to take the survey so that main aim of conducting the research can be evaluated.
4. Data collection- It can be collected with help of two method as are primary and secondary. It is one of essential factor in terms to gather information so that particular aim of study can be collected. In order to determine the implication of present study, there is need to have the use of both primary and secondary method. Under the primary method first hand information is need to be collected with the help of undertaking survey in questionnaire basis (Hsu, Ray and Li-Hsieh, 2014). Thus, secondary information will be collected with the help of books, journals, organisation records etc.
5. Sampling- It can be done with the help of method as are probabilist and non-probabilistic. In order to carry out the present study there will be use of sampling technique as probabilist and it works as to provide equal chance to each member (Behrend and et.al., 2011). In this sample will be taken of 20 employees of Virgin group in terms to determining the importance of cloud computing.
6. Data analysis- It is term which is inclusive of coding, cleaning and transforming the whole data in effective mode. With the help of it conclusion can be drawn. In this, there are two kinds of method with the help of information can be gathered as are qualitative and quantitative. Thus, it can be said that qualitative method will be helpful in terms to determining the better interpretation of situation as well people. In addition to this, it is helpful in order to have depth insight about the each phenomenon (Al-Hujran and et.al., 2018). Quantitative data is useful in terms to have the use of statistical tool. In addition to this, it can be said that on the basis of identified pattern, themes can be described effectively. With the help of this better interpretation of the things can be determined.
7. Ethical issues- In this researcher need to make sure that they are carrying out the study with the help of taking prior permission of participants. In this, non compliance to any of it can lead to create an issue in ethical manner. Thus, researcher need to assure that confidentiality of information is need to be maintained so that data can be storage in terms to have unauthorised access (Bandal and et.al., 2018).

DISCUSSION
Theme 1: Yes, virgin group is using cloud computing system.
Interpretation- Based on the above chart it can be concluded that Cloud computing is one of the effective network service which works as to store, manage and process data rather than using of local server and personal computer. In this, there are total 20 respondents out of which 14 said that virgin group is using cloud computing in order to add value to firm. In addition to this, it can be said that cloud computing is one of the effective method in order to deal with whole information in the enterprise.
Theme 2: Virgin group is using cloud computing for internal purpose.
Interpretation- Based on the above chart it can be concluded that Virgin group is using cloud computing for internal purpose. In this, there are total 20 respondents, out of which 15 said yes, 3 said no and 2 are not sure about it. It is very helpful in terms to improvise the internal functioning of an enterprise. Thus, Cloud computing system is helpful in terms to keep the proper for internal purpose.
Theme 3: Yes, Data stored in cloud computing is safe and secured.
Interpretation- Based on the above report it can be concluded that cloud computing is useful in terms to make data backup, disaster recovery and helpful to safe and secure the internal functioning of firm. In this, there are total number of 20 respondents out of which 13 said yes, 5 said no and 2 are not sure about it.
Theme 4: Yes, Cloud computing is one of the most cost effective method.
Interpretation- Based on the above chart it can be concluded that cloud computing is one of the most cost effective method and it is useful in terms to proper conducting of all the functioning of an enterprise. In thus, there are total number of 20 respondents, out of which 6 said that it is cost effective, 4 said that it is useful in term to have increment in productivity, 5 said it is useful in terms to have data backup and 5 said it is time consuming.
Theme 5: Authentication and Authorization is one of effective security measure of cloud computing.
Interpretation- Based on the above chart it can be concluded that cloud computing is helpful in terms to prevent the enterprise to access to data. In this, there are total number of 20 respondents, out of which 11 said it is useful in terms to Authentication and authorization of data, 5 said it is effective in terms to have access control and 4 said that it is useful in order to proper function in terms to management.
Theme 6: Yes, cloud computing system is useful in terms to gain competitive advantage of firm.
Interpretation- Based on the above chart it can be concluded that Cloud computing is one of effective method in order to gain competitive advantage. With the help of cloud computing system firm is able to have increment in profitability and productivity to firm (What is cloud computing? 2018). In this, there are total 2 respondents, out of which 16 said no, 3 said no and 1 is not sure about it. Cloud computing is one of the effective way to conduct proper functioning in an enterprise. It is helpful measures in order to gain competitive advantage to firm.
Theme 7: Yes, using of cloud application is useful in terms to have increment in customer retention.
Interpretation- Based on the above report it can be concluded that cloud application is useful in terms to have increment in customer retention. It helps to process the effective functioning in the firm and it is useful in order to attract the customers. In this, there are total 20 respondents, out of which 17 said yes, 2 said no and 1 is not sure about it. Thus, cloud computing is one of the effective method in terms to have increment in retention rate of customers.
