INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development plan is the technique through which individual sets activities to achieve targets. This helps to get positive results results and within specified tme. There is requirement of some skills to deal with people in society. It is important to know what has to be done through which they can earn good image in market. Personal and professional development of person can be possible with the help of some new learning program which are significant for growth and developing of personality (Calderhead, Denicolo and Day, 2012). These skill are important for performing roles and responsibilities in effective and significant way. There are many programmes run by organisation to sharpen skills of employees and hence this is beneficial for him as well as association. This report is based on Travel Lodge Hotel which is situated Ilford which has good infrastructure for attracting customers for accommodation. In this report there is discussion about approaches of self managed learning, ways to encourage life long learning, its benefits, skills for achieving professional standards. This also describes skills which are required to be improved and garb opportunities, personal professional development plan. It also enhances knowledge about actions which are required to be followed to perform business operations.

Self managed learning means activities which are important to work through which goals can be achieved. There are some activities which is effective for making changes in roles and responsibilities of workers which help them to attain targets on time. As there are many curriculum activities which help to work according to current trend. Best method can be selected by managers through use of techniques which is costly and time effective (Cleary., 2011). There must be positive outcome from it. Coaching- Coaching is the oldest method, in which classroom study is conducted by some trainer to employees of Travel Lodge Hotel. This method is effective for making employees aware of current trend, this can be used in business operations. This method can be used by managers of Travel Lodge Hotel in which people can train in group.
Seminars and conferences- There are some functions which are organised by association to train personnel. In this person having knowledge about issue shares his/ her ideas which is effective for promoting business activities in significant manner.
Interviews- Interview is personal method which is excessive as there is interaction with each personnel. Through this their knowledge an be judged and then further actions are taken.
Use of internet and social media- These days, this is the most common and effective method. This is cheap source which is used by company to know what is happening in market and then use it to operations.
