How I planned to document lessons

This project required planning, so that proper process could be created. I decided to create a plan, in which I would be able to learn about lessons while preparing the project. This would enable me to assess my skills and abilities so that I can improve myself to make better projects.

The plan that I created involved my subordinates and team mates, as they would help me in efficiently completing the project. They would get an insight of how projects are made and skills that are required, so that they can too, learn lessons which would benefit them in the future.

I planned to document these lessons by creating a database,where in I can systematically record various situations and their outcomes. This will help me in analysing my areas of strengths and weaknesses, so that I can make improvements. This can also help me in tracking the work done and time taken to do so.

When I compared the plans that I had prepared and actual work done in the project, it came to pay attention that there were a few errors and mistakes that I had done. I realised that the plan was not completely followed, which gave both a positive and negative impact in that duration.

My subordinates and team-mates did not effectively manage their work, which caused a few delays in the project. Even though a proper plan was created, it was not strictly followed and this caused many issues with persons involved in the project. They did address their mistakes and made improvements.

The database in which I documented my lessons was successfully done as I was able to systematically record these lessons. I am able to go through it so that I can improve my skills for future purposes. But I am unable to properly track my overall performance.

During the process of preparation of the project, I made an error in collecting information and had placed incorrect data in some parts of a question. This was because I was unable to correctly interpret the specifications asked in the project file and this created problems for me while working.

This situation made me feel confused and frustrated. I felt that I could not use my skills to the fullest potential and I was feeling stupid for creating such a silly mistake. This however, gave me the motivation to pay more attention while working as well as guide others during the process.

I have learnt that mistakes can be easily made if proper attention is not given to the work that is being done. It made realise that proper analysis of specifications have to be done to ensure that the correct information is searched and applied in the project that is being prepared.

I will use an improvement strategy of maintaining focus. This will help me in giving full attention of work that I am doing in the project and will further minimise the risk of incorrect information. It will also help me in efficiently managing my work as well as help my team-mates in reducing chances of error.

In order to determine the success of focus strategy, I will regularly monitor and cross check the work done by myself and my team-mates. This can help in determining errors that have been done so that measures can be adopted to implement changes, which will reduce making mistakes.

This strategy is achievable as it can help in maintaining focus while working (Nelson, 2017). I will be able to concentrate on my work and have minimum distractions and this will allow me to reduce risks of collecting and applying incorrect information in the project as well as properly reading specifications provided.

This strategy of focus is relevant in addressing the lessons that I have learnt as it will allow me to make improvements in myself so that I can perform better in future projects that I will have to handle. It will help me in enhancing my capabilities and skills, along with aiding my team-mates to improve their performance as well.

I will implement this strategy during the initial stage of a project and will utilise it throughout the entire duration. This strategy will be successful only when its application is done in the start as it will help in maintaining focus till the completion of entire project.

The situation of completion of project on time was an experience that I had faced. My team-mates and I were able to wind up the project on time, even thought there were some delays in between. Overall, with the efforts made by everyone, we were able to present the project.

This situation made me feel happy and relieved as I was able to finish my work on time, regardless of the issues that I had faced and use my best potential while working. I am proud of my team-mates as they managed to achieve their tasks on time as well.

I learnt that it is important to get work done on time as everyone feels a sense of accomplishment and happiness. I am proud that I could work efficiently and this will enable me to perform tasks effectively, along with my team-mates in the future as well.

Accomplishing work on time can be improved by being a good mentor/leader (Kerzner, 2017). This strategy can help me in guiding my team-mates so that we all can work together in an effective manner and complete our work well before time, so that we can cross check the entire project before submitting it.

I can measure this strategy to ensure that it works by, keeping track of my teachings and guidance that I have provided to my team-mates as well as noting down the time taken to complete tasks so that I can implement any changes that is required to ensure that this tracking strategy works.

This strategy is helpful for accomplishing the things on timely manner. Being a good mentor I Can able to put my major focus over the clarity, accuracy and thoroughness in communication. I can set the deadline of my team and produce work on timely by putting high level of consistency towards work.

The strategy of being good team will help me to successfully managing the whole project report. I will empower people to right thing at right time. With help of good mentoring skill I will communicate my vision to team so that we can work as a whole. Thus, team performance is essential toll to learning that how to improve and enhance the output of team.

I had faced one situation i.e having inappropriate resource that results in delay result of projects. It also leads us to face insufficient flow of information among project team. In this, my team mates were not able to achieve result on given deadline. I have also faced milestone that barricades us to collect significant information from relevant sources. In order to get rid of it, me and my team collects funds so that we can able to have resources. By this, we have completed the assigned project.

This situation made me feel like I am helpless and I could never lead my team successfully. Inappropriate resources leaded us to faced various obstacle during process of project accomplishment. The inappropriate information creates the confusing situation that hampered the overall growth of team-mates as well project results. Therefore, I proud on my team-mates that with help of their support we had collect some funds to have resources. This situation realised me that team work means to take responsibility of each thing equally.

With this situation I have learnt that we should always have some funds so we can have enough resource to accomplish assigned results. From now onwards I will always distribute information appropriately so that my team member can work effectively without getting distracted.

I will under take one improvement strategy as monitor progress and performance through accountability. To do this, I will arrange the meeting to bring their focus as manage people, follow processes, communication information to stakeholders etc. With help of meeting objectives it is essential to monitor result on timely to find out the deviation between actual and planned. If there is any gap than effective action can be taken towards it.

It can be measured with help of reviewing result of last project (Aarseth and et.al., 2017). This will helps me to analyse that the present improvement strategy is effective or not. It is very effective way to determined the standards so that performance can be measured effectively.

This strategy will be helpful to accomplish the desired objectives. This will be helpful for me to measure the performance of team-mates by comparing actual result to standardised task. It will help me to minimise the risk (John, 2018). This kind of situation leads me to accomplish project successfully.

It is ultimate plan of action to achieve desire outcomes (Alles and et.al., 2018). This will help to maintain proper control over the whole process of project. With help of this techniques, the team-mates will work in more attentive manner. They put their major focus over set standards so that they can match up their actual output.

I will implement this strategy during the initial by setting up of standards and in last stage in manner to measure the performance. With help of this, me and y team-mates can able to produce good project report.

6. Conclusion

Based on the above report it can be affirmed that for successful completion of the project, it is essential to lead the team efforts in proper direction. During the completion of this project the number of situation has to be faced. Thus, report has been covered with the various improvement strategies of undertaking project effectively.
