Statistical literacy Maths in context

• One of major change that comes in the Australia economy is that now more and more women are doing a job. Proportion of women doing job in Australia increased to large number as 71% of total number of women are employed in the specific companies and in future time period also this proportion is excepted to increase (Argoon, A., Goldsmith, B. & Steger, S. (2019, July 30). P15).

• Another major change that is observed in past couple of years in the Australian society is that women are earning more than men and proportion of such kind of women is increasing from 22% to 25%. This is reflecting that proportion is increasing but at low pace. Interesting fact is that male is also welcoming such kind of trends and proud on their life partner on such kind of achievement. Thus, overall it can be said that women empowerment happened in the Australia at rapid rate.

• Third major change that is seen in the Australian society is that now youngsters become carrier and family oriented and they are doing marriage at late age of 30. Substantial proportion of male are living with their family members and are not giving much importance to money relative to personal relationship.
• Fourth major change that is observed in the Australian society is that now a day’s large number of couples who both are doing a job are making heavy expenditure on the child care. They are make extravagance in purchasing cloths and toys for their children’s. This means that people expenditure on the fulfilment of personal need and wants as well as lifestyle also increased at rapid pace (Argoon, Goldsmith. & Steger, S. (2019, July 30)p15.). Now people saving behaviour to some extent is changing to the expenditure making behaviour. Median expenses on child care is $152.60 which reflect that in middle people are making such kind of expenditure. This amount is in middle of the highest and lowest amount that people are paying for childcare with specific time period.
• Fifth trend is that people want to socialize themselves but at same time they want to earn sufficient amount of money. They want to carry both things hand in hand but that is lease possible for one to do.
• Sixth trend is that decade ago also women worked but population of such kind of women was high who give birth to baby and it goes to school. But now trend get shifted and now girls after completing their graduation directly do a job. They do not wait for job until their children start going to school.
