This project report discusses about the impact of digital technology in a small business operations of the business. When the companies use digital technologies in operating the activities of the company it introduces new ways to conduct them. The use of digitalisation will also assists the companies in finding opportunities in the management of operation by finding better solution to the problems related to the expansion of the activities of business. Using the technologies related to digitalisation assist the companies in reducing the costs related to operation by utilising various tools and techniques and in turn also increases the overall profitability( Evans, 2012). This assist the company in capturing a large share of market by attracting customers towards the business activities of business. The current project report is done on Henmans LLP which is small company that is operating in UK and provides legal services in the London.

This project report will discuss about the aims and objectives in the use of digitalisation, preparation of plan related to project management, stages that are involved in completing the project, using the quantitative and qualitative methods in conducting the research. This report also tells about the tools and techniques that are utilised in interpreting the data and providing reasonable recommendation to solve the issues.

In order to serve the purpose the managers have decided to choose digitalisation of the operations of company. This implementation will help the company in establishing different platforms that will help company in achieving expansion of operations. The use of digitalisation can help the company in posting advertisements on the social media websites regarding the services they provide which will assist in attracting more customers and also the employees which have relevant skills and knowledge in the related sector so that company can hire them and achieve more growth(Gustafson, 2012). This assist the companies in saving time and cost. Many companies and individual in the modern world stay active on the social media which assist the company in attracting more clients if the company maintains its existence on the online platform.

By this the company have attracted many customers as the corporate companies only gives their legal cases who have online existence and to whom they cam communicate online(Gustafson, 2012).

All of such aspects are required to be done for making a project successful and enhance the operations of company. Henmans LLP provides legal services in UK and is a small company. The project management plan if formulated by the internal managers of the company consists of the following significant aspects which are discussed as under:

  • Scope of project: The project that is undertaken is based on digital technology , which has a wide scope in the modern world because of so much involvement of the social media and engagement of internet in daily life of people. Use of digitalisation includes the utilisation of various tools and thus declines the operational cost and in turn increases the profitability of company.
  • Cost: In the implementation of digital technology in the company will incur a lot of cost for the company initially and the company need to do large investment. The respondents that are selected by the researcher are chosen by random sampling method, who have assisted in providing feedback regarding the online method regarding selection of candidates.

The conducted research provides relevant information to the internal management of Henmans LLP in formulating the policies regarding the implementation of digital technology in the company effectively( Peppers, and Rogers, 2016). These strategies and plans assists the companies in accomplishing the objectives set by the company. For this the researcher of company have prepared the questionnaire in which the company have prepared the 10 questions which measures the impact of digitalisation about the current activities of business. So, according to the project it has been concluded that digitalisation can assist company in attaining competitive edge and increasing profitability by gaining large share of market.

The researcher has faced many issues in undertaking the research for various aspects. They have formulated proper plan for the removing such issues related to them. At the time of research I had very less amount of money for efficiently undertaking activities(Polonsky, and Waller, 2014). The researcher have conducted research on 30 respondents and gathered the primary data from their, the researcher has also used secondary data in the research process so that the accuracy of information are declined.
