The scenario of this report is based on tourism development practices based on Qatar. In this regard, junior consultant of International Tourism Consultancy has been asked by their line manager to prepare a report over the tourism suitability practices by considering:
- Provide a rationale over the planning in travel and tourism industry.
- Describe several approaches relevant to tourism development as well as planning.
- Evaluate the requirement of planning in the sustainable tourism.
- Discuss current issues relevant to tourism development planning.
- Identify the influence of environmental, economic and socio-cultural activities over the emerging and developing countries.
INTRODUCTION
There are various kinds of fundamental challenges which are being faced by Tourism sector while accomplishing the goals for the welfare of human and sustainable development of tourism. There are certain goals which focus upon the giving out economical opportunities along with enhancing the life quality and thus mainly protecting the culture along with natural heritage of the nation and many more. These three mainly are considered as the major objectives for the sustainable tourism (Aldebert, Dang and Longhi, 2011). Present report mainly focuses upon the sustainable tourism. Destination which is being chosen is Qatar which can be stated as one of the most developing countries across the globe and that too with a well established tourism sector. This report mainly includes the rationale for planning within travel and tourism sector. Along with this, it also mainly focuses upon the various kinds of approaches for the planning and development of this sector. Moreover, this kind of study will mainly highlight the plans and strategies for the planning up of sustainable tourism along with current issues which are highly related to the tourism development along with some kind of current issues which are highly related to the tourism development plan. There are impacts like socio culture, economical and environmental impact upon the developing countries along with emerging destinations which will also be discussed.
