This research is based on exploring the importance of mobile marketing. The company chosen is Tesco which deals in general merchandise and retail products. This unit is aimed to help the students to better understand the process of research and its methodologies. It covers the following-

INTRODUCTION
Methodologies
Research philosophies- It is terms which defined its nature, source, development of knowledge. In this, there is kind of belief through which effective information should be gathered, used and analysed. It is epistemology which defines that what is known to be true and what is believed to be true. Research philosophies can be classified into categories as are Ontology, positivism realism, Epistemology and interpretivism etc. In this researcher will make the use of both philosophies as are positivism and interpretivism. Thus, focus is need to be made on the objectives and aim which has been set. Furthermore, with help of it, importance of mobile marketing can be identified.
Research approach- It is approach which encompasses the plan and procedure which will be helpful in order to carrying out study. Thus, there are two kinds of approach as are inductive and deductive. Deductive approach moves from general to specific. It can be known as top down approach. In addition to this, Inductive approach works as to specific observation from broad generalisation. With help of using specific observation the impact of mobile marketing can be known.

Research design- It is design which provides information about the strategy and it is need to be adopted by researcher for logical and coherent integration about the differed component of study. It can be classified as exploratory, namely, descriptive and explanatory etc. In order to carry out the present research, the descriptive research design will be used. Descriptive method put its consideration on things as are case study, survey and observation. This design will be helpful in terms to determining the importance of mobile marketing of Tesco.
Data collection- It is method with help of which necessary information can be gathered. In this, there are two kinds of methods as are primary and secondary. Furthermore, to determine the implication of usage of mobile in terms to have increment in sales of Tesco, both method will be used as primary as well secondary. The information in secondary method is need to be collected with use of book, journal etc. on the other hand primary information will be collected with help of using of survey. In this, questionnaire techniques will be adopted by targetting the 15 sales managers.
Sampling- Under this, there are two kinds of sampling as are probabilistic and non-probabilistic. In order to carry out the present research study there will be use of probabilistic method of sampling. Thus, sample of 15 sales manager of Tesco was select by using of simple random sampling technique.
Data analysis- It is method which will be inclusive of activities as are coding, transforming and cleaning of data of which conclusion is need to be drawn. Under this, there are two methods as are qualitative and quantitative. It is systematic method which helps in provides the detailed insights about the study. In this, data will be analysed with use of thematic technique.
Ethical issues- In this, ethical consideration is need to be maintained at the time of carrying out the study. The prior permission from the participants is need to be gathered from participants about informing of whole study. In this it can be said that non-compliance can led to ethical issues. The confidentiality of information and unauthorized access to data is need to be checked.
