AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

Aim of the above project is to elaborate the importance of digital technology in terms of exploring the social media in hospitality sector. The main objectives are defined as follows

  • To analyse the trend of social media marketing in hospitality sector: social media is one of the key tool used to promote and execute the services and products of organisation at large level (Brand visibility, 2017). This is one of the essential tool in terms of exploring the social network and communicates the acts and blogs. The major portion of exploring the services and management of organisation is to explore the function of business at international level with effective management. This is one of the essential form of media and marketing which mainly associated with promoting and advertising the hospitality services through social media.
  • To ascertain the impact of social media marketing on Qbic’s customer base: Qbic is one of the hotel industry working in the UK. with effective management skills organisation is achieving the benchmarks in terms of building string customer base. It is seen that the increasing trend of social media can emerge the scope of organisation in terms of exploring the business at next level. As per above analysis it is concluded that the organisation is seeking to implement the social media to explore the strong customer base in terms of managing the operations and development of organisation.
  • To assess the influence of social media marketing on the sales performance of Qbic: there are type of factors which influence the effective implementation of social marketing. It is seen that the social media is recorded as one of the sales emphasising and emerging tool to boost the structure and operation of business at next level. It is one of the essential aspect in terms of managing the skills. For developing the effective sales structure (Benefit of security, 2017).

LITERATURE REVIEW

Hospitality industry is a fast paced sector which is developing day by day. This industry includes organisations which are engaged in serving their customers such as hotels, tourism companies, restaurants etc. they major motto of the companies engaged in hospitality sector is customer satisfaction. Digital technology refers to the electronic tools, systems and devices which are used by the organisations in order to increase their productivity along with satisfying the needs of the consumers. Hospitality sector is highly benefited by new and innovative digital technologies as it helps in achieving their organisational aims.

According to Harish Thyagaraja, 2017, digital technology helps in hospitality sector in maximising their brand visibility. Various organisation engaged in hospitality sector like hotels and restaurants uses social media tools in order to efficient marketing of their services, some of the example of these social media tools are Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc. These tools helps an organisation in increasing the brand visibility by spreading a word over the virtual world. In current scenario, marketing and promotion of a brand have a major significance in the success of an organisation but marketing activities involves high costs due to which it becomes hard for small and medium scale organisation to market their services. With the help of social media tools, these organisation can also promote their services by engaging no or low cost. Companies engaged in hospitality sector can use these social media tools in order to promote their business activities by publishing various innovative advertisements on social media platforms. These social platforms attracts ample of customers due to its easy approach.

Few of security devices used by hospitality sector are biometric sensors which only allows authenticated staff to enter in office premises which reduces the chances of theft. Other digital security equipments are automated doors, mobile keys and smart cards which are used to ensure security of customers so that they can have a comfortable and secure experience. In hospitality industry, the primary aim of the existence of an organisation is customer satisfaction which can be attained by ensuring customer security.
