INTRODUCTION

Health promotion is a procedure of executing a prominent range of social and environmental interventions that comprises promoting health, behaviours, creative supportive atmosphere and encouraging public health policies by enabling people in taking control, improvement actions related to health issues. Interventions could be effective when they applied in settings like workplace, schools etc. Health care is a sector that includes all factors that are interconnected with human health and all issues that are linked with this. Healthcare is a maintenance and improvements in this is related with disease, injuries and physical and mental problems in individuals. This report is based upon National Health Services which is conducting in United Kingdom. In health care organisation, there are different legal laws under which they operate. In this report there is discussion about Children's Act. NHS and Community Health Care Act, Care Standards Act, Data Protection Act, Disability Discrimination Act, Race Relations Act which are important to perform operations in ethical manner.

A. Key aspects of Health care Systems in UK

There are some factors that must be included in healthcare and have vast impact upon health care services in country. These elements are stated as beneath:

Public Health England: This is an executive agency which is working in Health and Social care sector in UK and begun on 1st April, 2013. Main objective of starting this agency is to reduce health inequalities along with making some improvements in nation's health and well-being. PHE is an executive agency and operating its functions and this is sponsored by Department of Health and Social Care. There are some responsibilities which is bear by PHE and these liabilities are stated as beneath:

  • Making society healthier and reducing health differences among all groups and of promote benefits of healthier lifestyle and advertising government's supporting action.
  • Agency and NHS is protecting nations from all hazards that are related with hazards.
  • Responsibility of being prepared and ready to handler all emergencies that are interconnected with public healthcare and well-being.
  • Providing support to local authorities which are working in health and social care sector.

There are around 5000 people are employed in this agency and these members are called as public health professionals.

Social care: Many people have opinion that social care services are might be a residential care home. In fact, there are many services of social care available and most people are able to have care provided in their home. Type of social care that a person can get depends upon necessities of individuals. It means, type of health problem is a human being is having or severity of disability. This is more understandable by an instance, if a person is having problem in walking then that person requires some set of equipments that should be able in making him mobile and independent like wheelchair.

Role of NHS: National Health Care is a commissioning board that was established in 2012. this is an independent body and have some roles and responsibilities which are stated as beneath:

  • This board checks and provides approvals for those business plan which are going to achieve strategic objectives of NHS.
  • This board also holds services of NHS England's executive group in account for taking care of performances in order to running all services in appropriate manner.
  • It is a role of NHS to decide which kind of decisions would be keep with top management and which kind of judgements would be delegate in all professionals.

Integrated care: This is a solution of systematic coordination of general and behavioural healthcare. Integrated mental health, substance abuse and primary care services provides best outcomes and proves most effective model to caring for people whom are having multiple healthcare needs.

Partnership Work: This is a separate exercise which is running for providing appropriate service and extra benefits from pooled expertise, resources and power sharing. Main objective of partnership is to enhance efficiency and quality of service provision.

B. Main Stakeholders of UK Healthcare Systems

There are some groups that have stakes in healthcare services which are defined as beneath:

Care Quality Commission: This is a facility which includes mental healthcare service and also have hospitals and to care about them, commission have some demands from UK healthcare system which is a stake.

NHS: This is stated as National Healthcare Service and operates its roles and responsibilities in UK healthcare segment and have stake in UK healthcare service systems.

Public Health England: This agency works for reducing health differences among two groups and this sector takes advantages and provide aid to healthcare system so in context of benefits this section is having stake in UK's healthcare systems.

Patient empowerment is a term which is to be comprised as making some improvements in one's health in order to protect human beings from diseases and injuries. There are some laws and legislations are defined in order to protect and provide some rights and benefits. There are some national laws and legislations which are having some and vast influences in delivery of healthcare services and these rules and legislations are stated as beneath:

Children's Act: This act was came in force in the year 1989. This is related to local authority services which are linked with children in need and others. Main amendments of law in context of children's homes, community homes, voluntary homes and voluntary organisations. This is a provision that is related with child fostering, mining, and day care for young children and adoption. All these purposes are connected together. This act also have some amendments on regular basis and reason behind this is to need of time and occurrence of situations in different manner. This is the act which is used to take care children's which are suffering in society. For instance: if child labour is working in organisation then as per this act there must be strict action against organisation.

NHS and Community Health Care Act: This legislation was came in force in 1990 and it is for adults whose age is over 18. Under this rule whichis being made by government of United Kingdom in order to fulfil needs and wants of people who are not much capable or for person who is in need. There are two main stipulations that are stated as beneath:

  • Everyone who is requiring services then it is required from individuals that they fully assess their need that what they want and how much. Along with this, involvement of individual should be high so that actual need could get assess.
  • Everyone assessed whom are eligible has right to require that received services are tailored or not in order to meet all needs where, there it can be reasonably applicable.

An individual has full right to take participate in need assessment. Other who may contribute in need assessment are advocate or carer.

Care Standards Act: This legislation was came in reality in the year 2000. Main motto of formulating this act is to make provisions regarding registration of children's home, independent hospitals.
